DECLARATION OF STATE OF EMERGENCY AND ISSUANCE OF ORANGE ALERT

The Independent Transmission System Operator of Greece, given the significant  reduction of available thermal production availability of approximately 3,5GW and the uncertainty about the availability of Natural Gas fired Production Units, declares, according to Article 75 of the Greek Transmission System Operation Code, a State of Emergency. Moreover, given the increased probability of Loss of System Load, the Independent Transmission System Operator issues an Orange Alert according to Article 78 of the Greek Transmission System Operation Code.
