With reference to the notice published on October 24th 2016 on JAO website about the unavailability of the link between Italy and Greece, Terna and ADMIE inform market participants that the fault is located on terrestrial/marine cables joint and currently restoration activities are expected to be completed by the second week of December.
On November 27th 2016 at h00:00, the limit for curtailments of 45 equivalent days pursuant to art. 4.2 of Annex 6 of Allocation Rules for Forward Capacity Allocation will be reached on both border directions, i.e. from Italy to Greece and from Greece to Italy .
In particular, from November 27th h00:00 onwards, Terna and ADMIE will guarantee, till the restoration of the HVDC cable according to the above mentioned Allocation Rules, the long-term PTRs already assigned for the year 2016.
Τhe Daily ATC will be set also to zero and the non-nominated Long-Term rights for both directions will be refunded at the price of the original auction as set to art. 7.1 of Annex 6 of Allocation Rules for Forward Capacity Allocation.
Terna and ADMIE will do their best to timely inform market participants through their web sites about the evolution of the restoration activities.
