Qi Qu holds a PhD of Theoretical Economics and a Master of Public Administration from Tsinghua University, and a Bachelor of Electric Power System and Automation from Shandong University.
Mr. Qu has almost 30 years of management experience on the power field. Mr. Qu joined Shandong Weifang Electric Power Company in 1995, as Senior Engineer, Deputy Director of the Maintenance and Operation of 220 V to 500 kV transmission and distribution network, and as the Senior Vice-president of the Shandong Changle County Electric Power Company. Mr. Qu joined State Grid International Development Co., Ltd (SGID) in 2012, overseeing mergers & acquisitions in energy sector and overseas asset operations.
From 2020 to 2024, he had served as a member of the BoD and as Chief Technology Officer of CHILQUINTA ENERGÍA S.A. in Chile. Since 2024, he is a member of the BoD and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of IPTO.
