Med-TSO

The Association of the Mediterranean Transmission System Operators (Med-TSO) was established in 2012 to strengthen cooperation among the region’s transmission system operators and promote regional electricity interconnectivity. Its activities focus on coordinated network planning, developing cross-border interconnections, harmonising technical rules and progressively integrating electricity markets across the Mediterranean.

IPTO actively participates in Med-TSO’s governing bodies, technical committees and working groups, contributing to regional studies and the development of common approaches to the region’s electricity systems. This participation strengthens cooperation with Mediterranean transmission system operators and supports the development of strategic electricity interconnections.
