Scheduled Isolations
IPTO with the cooperation of the relevant RSC (Regional Security Coordinator) and any other concerned party (neighbouring TSO’S, Grid Users, etc.) prepares the annual Outage Schedules for Interconnections, Unit Maintenance and Transmission System Elements of the Hellenic Transmission System, in a way that secures the country’s electrical energy supply and the reliability of System Operation.
IPTO draws up the Outage Interconnection Schedule in cooperation with neighbouring TSO’s and the relevant RSC. IPTO presents the Outage Interconnection Schedule for the current and the next calendar year within a reasonable time in order to enable the activation of long term transmission rights assignment process.
IPTO draws up a Unit Outage Schedule in order to ensure the country’s energy adequacy and the secure supply of the Hellenic Transmission System. This rolling schedule is produced in cooperation with all relevant partners who own Units that belong to IPTO’s Units Registry and is presented for the current year and for the next three years. During the Unit Outage Schedule’s design IPTO takes into account the Hellenic Transmission System’s security of supply, the forecasted interconnection state and other system elements’ state, possible load increase and producers’ proposition of their units’ maintenance schedules.
IPTO draws up a Transmission System Elements Outages schedule and coordinates the outage and maintenance of these Elements in a way that ensures reliable and uninterrupted system operation. The yearly System Elements Outage Schedule consists of the maintenance schedule for all system elements according to their operation cycle, the outage duration and the proposed time window of implementation. IPTO presents the current yearly schedule and schedules for the next two calendar years.
