Phase D of Cyclades’ electrical interconnection completes a sophisticated and imposing project aimed at the energy integration of the island complex in the continental system, with benefits for both the islands and the national economy in general.

The reconstruction of Koumoundourou HVC in Attica is a “turn-key” project, for the replacement and expansion of existing switching devices of 150 kV and 400 kV with cutting-edge GIS equipment, the addition of two autotransformers and five compensation self-inductors.

The new HVC will be supplying 21 Transmission Lines of 150 kV and 4 Transmission Lines of 400 kV, taking over a significant share of the electricity load in Athens basin.
