Description

The objective of the project is to facilitate the orchestrated operation of energy systems with increased flexibility, through the HEDGE-IoT Reference Architecture, which aims to establish functional interconnectivity among IoT/edge devices and fog/cloud platforms.

In this project, IPTO, in collaboration with HEDNO, PPC, and HENEX, participates in the demonstration of flexibility services provision in market-based scenarios. In particular, the following will be considered:

1. IoT-Cloud/Edge data exchange mechanisms by exploring innovative data exchange mechanisms between IoT devices and cloud-edge infrastructure.
2. The design and operation of a Local Flexibility Market (LFM) focusing on flexibility procurement, as well as effective data management, and seamless data exchange among stakeholders.
3. Mechanisms to coordinate the exchange of data between IPTO, HEDNO and HENEX aiming to identify and design the essential characteristics and functionalities needed for interoperable operation within the LFM, ensuring a cohesive and efficient energy market.
