The project pertains to the implementation of a second interconnecting line between the Systems of Greece and Bulgaria which will take place via an overhead interconnecting 400 kV Transmission Line between the Nea Santa HVC and the Maritsa East Substation.
The line will have a nominal transmission capacity of 2000 MVA and will a total length of 151 km, with around 30 km belonging to Greece and 121 km to Bulgaria.
