Following the warning published on IPTO’s website on 26.04.2025 (https://www.admie.gr/anakoinoseis/enimerosi/proeidopoiisi-gia-paramoni-se-etoimotita-gia-ton-pliri-periorismo-ishyos-ton) and based on updated estimation, the need for increased readiness for the total limitation of the power production of the RES and COGEN stations in the Distribution Network belonging to Group B during tomorrow, 30.04.2025, is confirmed.
The estimated time of the total limitation is expected to be within the following hours:
• 12:00 – 16:00 (EEST)
The producers and self-producers of Group B are requested to remain in a state of increased readiness. HEDNO will inform the producers and self-producers of Group B for proceeding to the total limitation of their stations’ power production and for the exact start and end time of the limitation, at least three (3) hours before the start time of the total limitation.
It is reminded that, according to Decision no. E-52/2025 of RAAEY (FEK 1544/2025), producers and self-producers are obliged to take the necessary actions by their own means to ensure that energy is not injected from their stations during the period of application of total limitation. Furthermore, based on the same Decision, Group B stations, which in any way receive a total power limitation order and do not comply, will be charged for each period for which energy restrictions have been imposed, with the product of the measured energy in MWh and a price ranging from €500/MWh to €1500/MWh depending on the number of violations.
