IPTO sets in Public Consultation the preleminary design for the participation of Demand Response in the Balancing Market. The objective of this proposal is to consult stakeholders on the technical details and principles regarding the development of a Demand Response flexibility framework in the Balancing Market.
The active participation of the stakeholders is necessary in order to reach an optimal final design, which not only will encourage the participation of Demand Response in the Balancing Market but also will be technically feasible, taking into consideration the distinctiveness of the already established Balancing Market (e.g. central dispatch vs self-dispatch compared to other European Markets).
Participants are invited to reply to this public consultation by Friday 9th October 2020 at the latest. Feedback may be provided by e-mail to marketdesign@admie.gr indicating the subject "Public consultation for DR participation in the Balancing Market".
Upon completion of this public consultation IPTO shall publish:
- the list of participants and the responses received, unless they are tagged as confidential.
- IPTO's opinion on the submitted responses and its final proposal.
