Sinnogenes
Project Description
The SINNOGENES project aims to advance the clean energy transition through the SINNO energy toolkit, emphasizing innovative energy storage. Integral to this is the digital twin platform, which provides real-time visualization of energy networks. IPTO, playing a central role, focuses on integrating storage technologies with mobility and insular systems, particularly between the islands of Ikaria and Samos. This project, via the collaboration of 27 EU partners, tests its strategies at six key demonstration sites, including a pivotal pilot in Ikaria that utilizes the digital twin to optimize the island's power system, as well as the interconnection with Samos and finally with the Transmission System for the greek pilot site, IPTO is in close collaboration with CERTH and HEDNO, the Greek DSO.
