Based on IPTO's estimation for the Easter period from 18 to 21 April 2025, a total limitation of the power production of the RES and COGEN stations in the Distribution Network, belonging to Group B, may be required during the above period.
The estimated time of the total limitation is expected to be required daily from Good Friday until Easter Monday within the following hours:
11:00 – 16:00
The producers and self-producers of Group B are requested to remain on standby for proceeding to the total limitation of their stations’ power production. For the confirmation of IPTO’s estimation a new announcement will follow on the IPTO website the previous day, by 20:00, for each of the above mentioned days of the Easter period.
It is reminded that, according to Decision no. E-52/2025 of RAAEY (FEK 1544/2025), producers and self-producers are obliged to take the necessary actions by their own means to ensure that energy is not injected from their stations during the period of application of total limitation. Furthermore, based on the same Decision, Group B stations, which in any way receive a total power limitation order and do not comply, will be charged for each period for which energy restrictions have been imposed, with the product of the measured energy in MWh and a price ranging from €500/MWh to €1500/MWh depending on the number of violations.
