Following the fire that broke out in Koumoundourou Extra High Voltage Center, IPTO informs that the power supply on the Transmission System in Attica and Peloponnese was restored rapidly, thanks to the immediate response of the Operator’s staff.
More specifically, in Attica the operation of the System was restored within 40 minutes and in eastern Peloponnese, within 55 minutes.
The Fire Department is still extinguishing the blaze without, however, any human lives having been put at risk. The cause of the incident is under investigation and a relevant announcement will follow.
