Change in the composition of the Board of Directors of IPTO SA

IPTO announced that Mrs Chen Dong was appointed Member of the Board of Directors and Deputy Chief Executive Officer

The Independent Electricity Transmission Operator (IPTO) announced that, at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company today, Ms. Dong Chen was appointed as the Member of the Board of Directors and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, replacing Mr. Xinghua Shi, based on the Shareholders Agreement of 20/06/2017 and Articles of Association of the Company.

Ms. Chen Dong is a distinguished scientist with extensive work in HVDC Transmission Technology. She was the Director of the State Grid Economic & Technological Research Institute Co Ltd from 2013-2019, she took over the position of HVDC-VSC Expert in Ariadne Interconnection in March 2019, which she held until recently.

In addition, during the same BoD meeting, the Board of Directors approved the appointment of Mr. Ioannis Maniatis of Efstathios as Chief Asset Management & Maintenance Officer effective from 1.10.2020.  

The Board of Directors, under its new composition, was reconstituted into a body as follows:

Manousos Manousakis,  of Georgios, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

Ioannis Margaris of Dionysiou, Executive Vice Chairman of the Board

Dong Chen of Zhijian Chen, Member of the Board and Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Hong Li of Minlin Li, Member of the Board

Yunpeng He of Jin He, Member of the Board

Iason Roussopoulos of Panagiotis, Member of the Board

Stavros Ignatiadis of Emmanuel, Member of the Board

Antonios Aspras of Emmanuel, Member of the Board

Fotios Nikolopoulos of Dimitriou, Member of the Board - Representative of the employees

   The Chairman and CEO of IPTO, Mr. Manos Manousakis, stated in this regard, "The Management of IPTO welcomes Ms. Dong Chen to the Board of     Directors and wishes her good luck and strength in her new duties.
