Mr Rousopoulos is an economist, graduate of the Banking and Financial Management Department of the University of Piraeus. He holds a postgraduate degree in Finance and Development, School of Oriental and African Studies from the University of London.
Since December 2017 he has been serving as a director in the Board and Deputy Chief Financial Officer of IPTO SA, while he is also Deputy Chairman - Executive Director of the Board of ADMIE Holding.
Between February 2017 and December 2017 he held the position of Chairman and CEO of IPTO Holding, while in 2015, he supervised the full ownership unbundling process of IPTO from PPC, in his capacity of advisor to the Minister of Environment & Energy. He participated in the Board of DES ADMIE SA in the capacity of executive director. He is also a member of the Evaluation Committee for the assessment of applications at the International Auction for the granting of exploration rights to exploit hydrocarbon deposits in twenty marine areas in Greece. In the past he has also worked in the areas of development and consulting.
At research level, he has co-authored and published a scientific paper titled “THE CHANGING GEOGRAPHY OF DEBT AND IMF’S INVOLVEMENT: From Global to European South” in the World Review of Political Economy.
Iason is a Greek native, fluent in English and has good working knowledge of Chinese and Spanish.
